Solid hardwood dog ramp for beds for large dogs up to 200lbs, and adjustable height for 20–35” high beds with landing platform, sturdy side rails, low incline, and PAWGRIP® traction for safe, effortless, and reliable use by your bigger dog (or several dogs!).

While most ramps take a "one size fits all" approach, they’re often too narrow, too steep, or too flimsy for bigger breeds. Our Large Bed Ramp for Dogs is thoughtfully engineered with features made just for them — including an extra-wide platform, tall, sturdy side rails, and a reinforced base for unmatched strength and stability.

That being said, we also have many owners of small or medium dogs opt for this ramp for the extra width and stability it allows for use by several dogs at once.

So whether your dog is entering their senior years, dealing with arthritis, or simply a shorter but heavier breed like a basset hound, this is the kind of ramp you can trust to provide safe, stress-free access to the bed.

Founder with dog
After the popularity of our Small Bed Ramp which I invented for my dachshund with IVDD, we would always receive messages from customers asking us to make a larger version for the bigger dogs — so we finally did, and it has quickly become one of our most popular and appreciated products!

– Ryan, Founder of DoggoRamps

And it’s not just for large dogs! Many of our customers with multiple small or medium-sized dogs choose this ramp for its wider platform and robust build compared to our Small Dog Ramp for Beds.

Features:

  • Adjustable height for even tall beds up to 35" high.
  • Landing platform at the top, makes it easier for your dog to step on and off the ramp.
  • Extra wide platform (18") for large and long-bodied dogs, or for several medium or small dogs.
  • Long & low incline gives your dog an easier time going up and down.
  • Holds dogs up to 200lbs. (Have a small dog? See our small bed ramp).
  • Anti-slip PAWGRIP, a soft, rubbery surface that provides incredible traction; way better than carpet!
  • Fully assembled in the box (you need only simply attach the rails with included allen key).
  • Strong, sturdy safety rails that are reversible to either side of the ramp.
  • Includes our expert-developed dog ramp training guide.
  • Made of solid Maple hardwood.
  • 100% Made in North America, thank you for supporting local!

Please Check Dimensions:

  • Base Floor Footprint: 64" long x 20" wide.
  • Ramp Walkway Area: 70" long x 18" wide.
  • Rail Height: 16" high.
  • Folds Flat: to 5"
  • Ramp Weight: 45lbs.

Bed Compatibility:

  • Reversible orientation: the ramp can be set up left-to-right or right-to-left thanks to the reversible side rails.
  • Flexible placement: it can be positioned along the side of the bed or along the foot of the bed, depending on your space and your dog’s approach.
  • Bed frame styles: if your bed frame or platform extends beyond the mattress edge, a small gap between the ramp and mattress may occur. In many homes this is easily accommodated within the existing setup, but we are also working on a modular add-on to provide a simple integrated solution.

  • Our PAWGRIP™ Surface

Unlike typical carpeted ramps, our PAWGRIP™ surface offers incredible paw traction to dogs of all abilities. That means better grip for less straining, slipping, and sliding - and thus, more confidence.

In the side-by-side comparison, you can see the difference clearly: compared to carpet, PAWGRIP™ gives dogs a surface that is more grippy when climbing, turning, and stopping.

    • Better traction than typical carpeted ramps
    • No slippig, straining, or sliding on the incline
    • More secure footing means more confident use
    • Also easier to clean than carpet

    The Hardwood Difference

DoggoRamps are made from solid Maple hardwood — not plywood, particle board, or soft pine like the others. That's what makes our ramps feel stronger, sturdier, and more stable, with the kind of finish and presence you’d expect from real furniture.

Hardwood also allows for richer finishing, more refined craftsmanship, and beautiful natural grain, so each ramp looks premium and unique in your home — not like a flimsy pet accessory.

    • Solid hardwood construction for a sturdier, more stable feel
    • Furniture-grade quality designed to complement home
    • Unique natural wood grain in every ramp
    • Smoother finishing and craftsmanship than typical pine/softwood ramps

    Bed Ramp

I think the ramp is great and the best I have found on the market. My German Shepherd had a Carpal hypertension on his left front ankle, which is why I bought the ramp to help him get on our bed and not make his injury worse. Once he had surgery, he was put in a splint with a bandage, and the doctor's orders are that he is not to be in our bed. So once he's healed, we will use it again. Thanks for reaching out.

Worth the cost! My girl figured it out on the first night and can now freely get on the bed again like she used to.

    Perfect

I bought the large ramp to help my medium sized senior dog on and off my bed. My smaller pup took to it immediately. It took the larger one time and patience, but the instructions that came with the ramp were very helpful in making it a positive experience for him.
The ramp is very well constructed and a good investment both as a piece of furniture that should last decades and hopefully to prevent vets bills from injuries jumping off the bed.

    Great Ramp

    Pros: Sturdy construction
    Adjustable height
    Gaurdrails
    Easy assembly
    Good surface
    Furniiture grade
Far more importanly, Penny finds it easy to get on the bed!
Cons: The landing could be 5-7 inches wider
The ramp put off fumes for over a week. It should sit for
several days after applying wood finish, before sending to customer.

    Worth it!!!

I have a high bed and an old 90 lbs dog. He used to jump on an ottoman and then the bed but sadly, can't do that any longer. I have ordered all kinds of ramps /stairs, including one from Amazon that looks like the large doggo ramp, in hopes of finding a cheaper optio. All were to flimsy for my Nate dog to trust so he wouldn't even try. Nate dog was right. I had safety concerns as well. So i finally ordered the doggo ramp. 100% WORTH THE EXPENSE. This ramp doesn't sway, slide or slip when Nate uses it. It is solid! I have no safety concerns and neither does my Nate dog. Up and down without issue (after the initial trial with treats). I could have saved us both a lot of time and stress if I wasn't so cheap. THANK YOU DOGGO RAMPS!!

The Best Ramp for our Dogs

Our Beagle had IVDD surgery 1/26. He’s getting his legs back under him, so we went with the best ramp available. Beautiful furniture grade from Crusoes’s dad! TY

    Large dog ramp

I purchased the large dog ramp from Doggo Ramps for my senior pup with extremely bad arthritis in his back, pelvis, hips and ankle. This ramp is built well and very sturdy. The training tips and videos are extremely helpful.

    Quality AND classy!!

I have a handful of old dogs. I bought this for my squatty potato pitty and she refuses to use it. Ugh!!! I was really bummed since I spent $450. However my big staffy that's 11 yrs old and achy bones absolutely loves it. Hes a beast and he just strolls up this ramp like ain't no thing. Since my old dogs seem to prefer different things I put the ramp on the side of my bed and left the steps at the bottom. My hope is my potato will switch to the ramp since step are hard in her joints.
FYI this ramp is on the side of my bed. This means I climb up and down it all the time. I'm hoping my potato will monkey see monkey do. That being said.....this thing holds my weight. I dont know what this is rated at but I give it a 150% for quality and 200% for looks. I bought the gray one and LOVE it. If the dogs steal too much bed space I may just roll over and sleeps on the ramp. Hahahaha. Fur real.

    Perfect!!

This ramp is so well-made, and the customer service is amazing. The training suggestions were really effective, and our boy who is normally scared of everything, felt comfortable with this ramp and began using it within the first 2 to 3 days of setting it up. He now uses it with ease and is completely comfortable with it. This was such a great purchase to avoid joint issues and pain for our sweet boy. Thank you so much!!

I'm not sure which ramp to choose?

It first depends on whether you're looking for a couch or bed solution.

If you're looking for a couch solution, see our couch ramp which works for all dogs up to 150lbs.

If you're looking for a bed ramp, then it depends on the size of your dog. If you have a small dog under 40lbs, see our small dog bed ramp. If you have a dog over 40lbs, OR if you have several or more smaller dogs, choose our large bed ramp for the higher weight limit and wider platform.
