Yes this ramp was more expensive, but you get what you pay for. I tried to cut costs and ordered one that was cheaper from another company. It arrived broken, and was too short to reach the top of the bed.
This bed is going to help our dachsund get on and off the bed without hurting his back hips and legs.
Our family has 8 miniature dachshunds, and this ramp has been amazing for them! We sadly have a 4 year old Isabella Tan with IVDD, and it is something that we have had to adjust to. It's something you NEVER want your dogs to EVER have to experience, and we have been doing our best to protect the rest of our four-legged fur babies and their backs. Having the ramp allows them to sit with us on the couch and sleep with us in bed without worrying every time they jump off like they're on an episode of American Ninja Warrior. The ramp gives them freedom to navigate the furniture and it gives us peace of mind.
So glad I decided to get this dog ramp.. My dog, a Shih Tzu named Kody, is getting older and needed a dog ramp that wasn’t so hard for him to “jump” into my bed. This ramp is very well made and sturdy - well worth the money.
My Dachshund immediately figured out how to use the ramp with no issues! He will go up the ramp on to the bed every time we go in the bedroom, even if I don't tell him to. It's so cute and I love seeing him have that independence, especially knowing that he is safe and not risking injury.
My 9 year old Cavalier has developed arthritis and is hesitant to use the steps he’s used over the years. I bought the walnut stained doggie ramp and am very impressed. Easy to set up, nice looking addition to the room and my baby Dudley is happy to use it to get into bed. Thank you!!
Fits nicely with my bedroom decor and furniture. I placed the ramp beside the bench at the end of my bed so the doggies can easily come up to the bench where they sleep. So convenient for them. I attached the railing to the outside edge of the ramp so they can securely go up and down at nighttime.
As she ages our Australian Cattle Dog's joints have been giving her trouble. We knew it was time to buy a ramp to help her get up and down from our bed and that she'd need a sturdy, stable ramp. While the Doggo Ramp was pricey, it is well worth it - you're paying for quality. We followed the directions to acclimate her to the ramp and after a couple of days she was using it when encouraged. We put up a pillow barrier to prevent her from jumping down like she has for years, and that has worked beautifully to get her to use the ramp every time. It is completely stable and doesn't move when she uses it, which is critical to maintaining her trust! She has been using it for several weeks now and we still keep the pillow barrier in place to deter her from jumping down. The ramp is easily adjustable - our bed is pretty low and the ramp is perfect on the lowest setting. Our cats love it too and have enjoyed shredding the rubber mat on the ramp - life with cats - ugh! Overall we are absolutely satisfied and would recommend this ramp to anyone.
We have 2 Schnoodles who have both sustained back injuries over the past few years while attempting to jump up on things. We bought the couch ramp to prevent reinjury. It's well made, easy to assemble, and surprisingly lightweight despite being solid wood. I love the gradual incline, adjustable height, and no-slip surface. The rails seem to make our pups feel more secure. The only con is the price tag, which is definitely on the higher end. Next up ... start saving for the small bed ramp!
It was soooooo easy to set up and matches with my furniture perfectly and isn't bulky at all.
We originally bought a ramp for our bedroom for our two senior Dachshund brother doggies! And they absolutely loved it & they caught on so quick when it came to using it! Not to mention the bonus point is listening to their little pitter patter feets when you're laying in bed and they're climbing up to come visit you! Then we recently got a new couch so they were not liking their foam steps we decided to upgrade to a ramp for the couch as well also a great investment! If you have older doggies or little short guys this is the perfect fit especially if maybe your dog has hip or neck issues! Also this is preventable for any further issues! Love it I couldn't have asked for a better ramp for my little fellas! Highly recommend! We did the dark walnut with the railing just to make sure the boys were secure so I would also recommend the railing if your dog is older or clumsy! Great investment you won't be disappointed!
We have two couch ramps for two dachshunds. Our dogs were both ramp savvy and took to these new ramps easily. The ramps are high quality, solidly manufactured, well designed with multiple railing options. The only niggle was on the very extended wait for the most recent ramp. 6 weeks from order to delivery. The company kept us well informed and was fully transparent on the delays. Ramp well worth the wait.
We have two new puppies. One likes to jump off things and the other won’t jump at all. This ramp is the perfect solution to allow the pups to be on the bed as well as the freedom to access their food and water. We followed the training suggestions provided in the video which worked very well.
Is it very expensive, yes. Was it worth it, yes it looks great and works great no complaints
I have three small dogs, one who is very shy, and each one of them started using it right away. Its easy to put up and you can adjust it according to your beds height. The slope is long and the material covering the slope makes it easy for my babies to get up and down. It also looks really nice in my bedroom.
My two little ones love using this ramp! One of them learned immediately where the other had to be coaxed a bit, but they are now both experts. I feel so much better that they have a safe option to get off and on my ridiculously high bed. My little ones are also older so this helps them not have to jump, either. One of my dogs is mostly blind, so the railing helps guide her down and I don't gave to worry about her falling off the sides. The ramp is very sturdy and I love that it was pretty much put together when it arrived. I highly recommend getting this ramp for your little furry ones.
I have 2 small dogs. The Bichon mix does very well with the ramp. My Norfolk Terrier can go down the ramp with no problem however going up he needs me to hold on to him for confidence. I think he needs glasses and can’t see all that well. I attached cardboard on the railing side to help him focus on the ramp. It helped. When he gets the hang of it I can remove it. Nice and sturdy when tied to the bed.
Edit Feb 13, 2025 - I am updating my review since the customer service was so fantastic. They acknowledge that the material was defective on a small batch but has been corrected. They are exchanging the ramp and based on the fact the large bed ramp I own shows no surface wear I am confident this will solve the problem. As for the design I still think it would be better if it had less slope. However, that is based more on my need since I am using it for an English Bulldog. I imaging it is primarily for smaller breeds and for them the slope would be beneficial.
Original review - I have the large bed ramp and love it, so I wanted to like the step up for the couch but sadly it has multiple problems.
First of the design. My bulldog doesn't like the step slope of the step since he can't pause on it. The cheap plastic one I had before had a larger more flat surface area so could get on it from any angle and he could stand on the ramp. With this on it is like he has can't pause on the way up and has get on the ramp perpendicular to the couch.
Now the biggest problem. While the surface material is the same as on the large bed ramp and it is is holding up fine, the material on here was already ripping withing a couple days of purchase. I still love Doggo Ramps products, but very disappointed with this one and I will probably go back to the plastic one I used before.
It took just one or two nights for my bulldog to learn to use the ramp and my back is grateful for it. So far it is holding up OK and is well built.
This is my second ramp product and I really like that this ramp is well made and sturdy. It’s easy to set up and manoeuvre and my dachshund easily uses this to get himself on and off the bed. I highly recommend for dachshund parents as this is a quality product that will last many years.
I have 3 of these in my house and absolutely love them.
My weenies use them all of the time!
(Especially my little guy who just had IVDD surgery)
They are very high quality and well made!
