We have had Doxies all our lives. We know how important it is to protect their backs so when we knew we had two arriving at Christmas (thus, their names, Prancer and Dasher), we also knew we had to make sure their backs would be protected from the start. They were crate trained and at four months they left the crate for our bed. In the meantime, they would eagerly use the ramp to get up in the bed and play with us (after they had gone outside to avoid accidents until they were fully house-trained at four months).
They had no trouble going up and down from the start and now they rumble up and down. You can hear them thundering up and thundering down chasing each other. They love it, but we love it more just watching them so happy.
The ramp is safe, sturdy, and reaches our high bed without issue. The video shows Prancer on the bed and Dasher joining him.
