Yes. The side rails are removable and reversible, so they can go on either side. You can also use the ramp without rails, or only with some of the rails if you wish.
Yes. The ramp can work well along either side of the bed as well, especially if you have a sleighbed or large footboard that blocks access from the foot of the bed. It all depends on the orientation of your bedroom and what the best ramp placement would be.
While the ramp is quite stable on its own, due to its slim, ergonomic design and parallel placement at the foot of your bed, we recommend installing the anchor rope for extra safety and stability. It can be installed to virtually any bed setup, whether standard under-mattress, tied to a footboard, or even looped around a solid footboard or frame.
Definitely. Remove the side rails first, then the ramp folds flat (no disassembly required) to about 3.5" thick so it can slide under a bed or stand upright in a closet.
That’s what we’ve weight-tested this ramp to. It likely holds more (we intentionally understate the max), but once dogs reach around 50 lbs, they are typically larger-bodied and may do better on our Large Dog Ramp for Beds.
Nope, there are rubber pads/feet on the underside of the base that keep the ramp in place on tile, hardwood, or other floor types.
Yes, provided that the total weight of dogs using the ramp at once does not (dramatically) exceed 50lbs. Otherwise, if you have a large pack of small or medium dogs, many people opt for our Large Bed Ramp purely for the extra width, stability, and weight capacity.
Yes. We’re working on an attachment to address gaps; in the meantime we have simple solutions we can recommend to fill a gap. A gap does not prevent you or your dog from using this ramp.
Yes—use a gentle soap and a soft cloth. It cleans much more easily than carpet.

We have small senior dogs ( Maltese, yorkie - grand dogs - Pomeranian and chihuahua) all rescues…
I have 3 of these ramps. Our Maltese is a mill rescue and terrified of stairs. He does them- but it’s not pretty or safe. The yorkie is just old.

My little Annie had fallen on her other ramp and was paralizysed for several days while we did the rest and steroid treatment. She did recover use of her legs but I rremoved the ramp. When I received the doggo ramp and installed it, the cat used it while I was attaching the rails. Annie was terrified of it so we took a couple of weeks to slowly introduce her to it. When we switched to a new, higher mattress, our small dog really struggled with jumping on and off, and we knew the problem would only get worse (and more dangerous) as she aged. After researching dozens of different dog ramps, we went with Doggo, and we are so pleased. She figured out quickly how to go up the ramp (we are still working on going down, which is a little more intimidating for her). My puppy, Gus is 18 months old and has a limp that is taking a while to get a diagnosis. So, I bought the couch ramp because he likes jumping on and off the couch. Gus started running up and down the ramp right away, without any training. He even sits at the top of it. I have noticed a bit less limping recently so the ramp is giving Gus's legs a break. Unfortunately our cat thinks the ramp is a cat scratcher, so he scratched the mat up the day we received the ramp. No fault of DoggoRamps!
