This ramp is ideal for small dogs up to 50 lbs, especially dogs that shouldn’t be jumping on and off furniture, such as dogs prone to IVDD like dachshunds and Frenchies, as well as other small dogs, or dogs that are senior, have arthritis, joint issues, or recovering from surgery, as well as puppies who need safer bed access while growing. If you have a heavier dog, we recommend our Large Dog Ramp for Beds, which is built for added width, weight, and stability.
The ramp adjusts to seven height positions, covering bed heights from 12″ to 37″, as as long as your mattress height falls within that range, the ramp will work properly. It doesn’t need to match your bed height exactly - being an inch or two off is normal, is unnoticeable for you and dogs, and doesn’t affect safety or ease of use.
Yes. The side rails are removable and reversible, so they can go on either side. You can also use the ramp without rails, or only with some of the rails if you wish.
Yes. The ramp can work well along either side of the bed as well, especially if you have a sleighbed or large footboard that blocks access from the foot of the bed. It all depends on the orientation of your bedroom and what the best ramp placement would be.
While the ramp is quite stable on its own, due to its slim, ergonomic design and parallel placement at the foot of your bed, we recommend installing the anchor rope for extra safety and stability. It can be installed to virtually any bed setup, whether standard under-mattress, tied to a footboard, or even looped around a solid footboard or frame.
Definitely. Remove the side rails first, then the ramp folds flat (no disassembly required) to about 3.5" thick so it can slide under a bed or stand upright in a closet.
Yes! We do also sell extra or replacement side rail kits (including the two side rails and top rail), and even replacmenet board/surface mats, as all our ramps are designed to have the surface replaceable.
Nope, there are rubber pads/feet on the underside of the base that keep the ramp in place on tile, hardwood, or other floor types.
Yes, provided that the total weight of dogs using the ramp at once does not (dramatically) exceed 50lbs. Otherwise, if you have a large pack of small or medium dogs, many people opt for our Large Bed Ramp purely for the extra width, stability, and weight capacity.
Yes, if you have bed frame or platform that is offset from the mattress, you may have a slight gap. We’re working on an attachment to address this but in the meantime we have simple solutions we can recommend to fill a gap. A gap does not prevent you or your dog from using this ramp.
Yes, we recommend using a gentle soap and a soft cloth. It cleans much more easily than carpet. And in fact, the entire board/PAWGRIP surface is designed to be easily replaceable in the future if it ever gets damaged or too worn.

I never write reviews — ever. But I can't not share how amazing these ramps are!
*Important context: I don't actually have a dog 😂. I bought this for my cat (who is very dog-like!). He's 8 lbs (unfortunately, due to cancer treatment) and approximately 13–15 years old (he was adopted, so we guess 🤷). I bought it because he was struggling to get onto the bed due to worsening arthritis.*
Here are some of the reasons I love this ramp:
1. It met his complicated healthcare needs. Sadly, my boy is in palliative care and has a weakened immune system due to cancer treatment, so I have to be very careful about where I purchase things for him. Specifically, I needed to make sure the ramp hadn't been around other animals (e.g., that it wasn't a returned product). I also needed something that would be easy to clean, as he has accidents from time to time.
The ramp was so easy to clean with soapy water when it arrived and, while he thankfully hasn't had an accident on it, it's easy to maintain with regular cleaning (think cat litter 😂). I think this has a lot to do with the PawGrip surface!
2. Incredible customer service. I was specifically hunting for a ramp I could ensure hadn't been around other animals. I emailed DoggoRamps and, within hours, they replied, acknowledged my concerns, and answered all my questions. I had finally found a company I trusted with my cat's needs.
I didn't need much support, but the few times I had questions, the DoggoRamps team responded so quickly and were incredibly personable. After spending HOURS searching online and looking at major pet stores and American businesses, it was so nice to get quick, helpful, and friendly responses. They were able to confirm within hours that their ramps met my cat's healthcare needs. It also made me really happy that I was able to support a Canadian business!
3. Easy to set up — and it actually looks nice 😂. I fully anticipated (and committed to) not being happy with having a ramp attached to my bed, but it's actually beautiful. It looks so much better than most of the other ramps I saw online. I also set it up completely by myself with no problems, and that doesn't always happen 😂!
4. HE USED IT WITH NO PROBLEMS! Like, none. No training required. It might be a cat thing, and if it is, I strongly encourage cat guardians to consider this product!
5. Worth. Every. Penny. His quality of life was decreasing, and it's bounced back. This ramp has really helped him continue to be himself, which makes my heart so full. I don't make a ton of money, but I would buy this ramp for my little dude again in a heartbeat.

Ramp seems to be well built, but unfortunately screws were missing from the shipment. I have emailed customer support a few times now and they have told me 1. the part maker is a different person than the company I am dealing with and was on vacation. Emailed again and 2. they would follow up and never did. I emailed again and 3. at this point it just doesn't seem well managed, though the ramp seems decent but is not stable due to the lack of specific screws for it and a risk for my 'doggo'. I would look at alternatives first.

Absolutely perfect and looks great with the furniture. Took my little 4 pound teacup schnauzer all of a couple minutes to trust the ramp.. I love that she can get up and down safely on her own now as we have an above averagely tall bed

We were impressed with the build quality and staining of the wood. This feels like more like a piece of furniture than a high volume made product. The bolts used to secure the railings feel solid. The ability to adjust the ramp was key for us and the length of the ramp ensured we could achieve a good angle for our dog. The material on the ramp has good traction.
