Large Dog Ramp for Beds

We began looking for a bed ramp for our little Cairn Terrier mix to help him up and down from the bed only to be overwhelmed by the choices. The long story made short is that our research led us to the Doggo Ramps website and we selected the Small Dog Ramp for Bed. And it has proved to be more than we had hoped for. The setup was a snap. My elderly dog was having many problems using the stairs I had made to get up on the bed. Now the ramp is in place, she uses it with no difficulty and I no longer worry about her falling and hurting herself. It was worth every penny!

Really well made. Is working great for my 26kg dog with arthritis and carpal hypertension. She took to using it pretty easily.

My dog is 4 and I hated the idea of what jumping on and off the bed was doing to her joints. She took to the ramp instantly and I now have peace of mind.

My 70 pound pit/lab had strict no free walk or jumping for 3 months post TPLO surgery for complete CCL rupture and meniscus tear. Once released to freely walk around we worried about him jumping up on our high bed and rupturing the CCL in the other leg.

After researching dozens of ramps (and returning a couple) I found DoggoRamp which is just what we needed.

It has many height levels, so our high bed reached perfectly.

The ramp comes fully assembled except for the side & end rails that assure he doesn’t jump off the ramp, but goes down it. The rails were easily attached with an Allen wrench.

It took less than 5 minutes to train Aspen to go up/down the ramp. I put treats every foot going up the ramp and one on the bed. Then did the same to get him to come down.

To make sure he doesn’t “forget” the ramp is there (after years of jumping on/off) I put a nightlight low near the end of the bed, so he sees the ramp when leaving the bed.

Although the directions advise putting it at the end of the bed, we worried Aspen would ignore it and jump on the bed. So we chose to put it on the side of the bed that he sees when entering the room. He uses it every time without issue.

This ramp is excellent quality. It was easy to put together and not too heavy to move. I started off with putting a trail of treats on the ramp and my dog would follow the path upland down. He's already used it a few times without needing treats. Its been about a month since we received the ramp and it's already been so helpful with not having to lift my 60 lb, 3-legged dog upand down from the bed. A little work and enticement and they will learn that it's a benefit for them too! So glad I got it and worth the price. I've already recommended to others!

We are delighted to report that patience and persistence have paid off, and our 10-year-old, 80-pound Kaipo is now ascending and descending her large dog bed ramp with confidence and even a proud sense of accomplishment. She cleary has learned to prefer it to the uncertainty of the challenging jump up onto our bed and the jolt of the jump down from it.

I spent several hours searching for bed ramps for large dogs online. I decided this one was the best because of the hardwood and the fact that it comes assembled, except for attaching the rails. There was another similar one that came in a million pieces and I decided to pay more for the peace of mind of not having to spend a weekend assembling it. It was well worth it. It's very sturdy. Also, it has a flat shelf on top. Some of them don't. The shelf is critical for allowing the dog to get their footing before stepping onto the bed. The ramp is expensive but well worth the price. Our sweet girl we bought it for has just passed away. We will remove the rails and store it under the bed for use with the next dog who needs it. We had to contact the seller with a question and he replied right away, so you get excellent customer service. I highly, highly recommend this company. Get your ramp here and you won't be sorry.
