This ramp is ideal for small dogs up to 50 lbs, especially dogs that shouldn’t be jumping on and off furniture, such as dogs prone to IVDD like dachshunds and Frenchies, as well as other small dogs, or dogs that are senior, have arthritis, joint issues, or recovering from surgery, as well as puppies who need safer bed access while growing. If you have a heavier dog, we recommend our Large Dog Ramp for Beds, which is built for added width, weight, and stability.
The ramp adjusts to seven height positions, covering bed heights from 12″ to 37″, as as long as your mattress height falls within that range, the ramp will work properly. It doesn’t need to match your bed height exactly - being an inch or two off is normal, is unnoticeable for you and dogs, and doesn’t affect safety or ease of use.
Yes. The side rails are removable and reversible, so they can go on either side. You can also use the ramp without rails, or only with some of the rails if you wish.
Yes. The ramp can work well along either side of the bed as well, especially if you have a sleighbed or large footboard that blocks access from the foot of the bed. It all depends on the orientation of your bedroom and what the best ramp placement would be.
While the ramp is quite stable on its own, due to its slim, ergonomic design and parallel placement at the foot of your bed, we recommend installing the anchor rope for extra safety and stability. It can be installed to virtually any bed setup, whether standard under-mattress, tied to a footboard, or even looped around a solid footboard or frame.
Definitely. Remove the side rails first, then the ramp folds flat (no disassembly required) to about 3.5" thick so it can slide under a bed or stand upright in a closet.
Yes! We do also sell extra or replacement side rail kits (including the two side rails and top rail), and even replacmenet board/surface mats, as all our ramps are designed to have the surface replaceable.
Nope, there are rubber pads/feet on the underside of the base that keep the ramp in place on tile, hardwood, or other floor types.
Yes, provided that the total weight of dogs using the ramp at once does not (dramatically) exceed 50lbs. Otherwise, if you have a large pack of small or medium dogs, many people opt for our Large Bed Ramp purely for the extra width, stability, and weight capacity.
Yes, if you have bed frame or platform that is offset from the mattress, you may have a slight gap. We’re working on an attachment to address this but in the meantime we have simple solutions we can recommend to fill a gap. A gap does not prevent you or your dog from using this ramp.
Yes, we recommend using a gentle soap and a soft cloth. It cleans much more easily than carpet. And in fact, the entire board/PAWGRIP surface is designed to be easily replaceable in the future if it ever gets damaged or too worn.

This ramp is well-made and easy to assemble. I doesn't take up a lot of room and my dogs love running up and down on it.

We appreciated the training instructions to ensure our dog would become comfortable using the ramp. Our dog has been reliably climbing up and down and the guardrails ensure that she doesn't jump off early. Because of our bed frame, there is a small gap between the top of the ramp and the mattress -- our dog was a little hesitant of it at first, but soon became used to stepping over it.

I reviewed a lot of options online before deciding on this one. Granted, this was pricier than the other Ramps I viewed out there but I paid more to get something I knew would be safe for my 6 lb Yorkie who is not only a senior but has also recently developed cataracts in both eyes. He can’t see so the side rails and no slip grip are of utmost importance. It was also important that the ramp be solid and not flimsy because if my dog senses any instability he gets scared and avoids the ramp all together. This ramp is excellent quality, sturdy, well crafted and has the safety features we need. My little guy warmed up to this ramp and got very curious to use it. Thank you!

After our sweet doggo fell off the bed (to the tune of a $600 vet bill), we knew we had to get a replacement for the wobbly steps he was using before. We also added a cheap motion activated light to the foot of our bed to light up the ramp when he’s ready to get down at night. Perfect setup!

I have a dachshund (Kenny Jo Beanie Weenie) and a minpin (Fergie or Fergalicious) Kenny Jo has always used a ramp, but sometimes she would jump off the bed It would move when she would go up it. And Fergie just wouldn't use it. It took about 5 minutes for both of them to trust the Doggo ramp and now neither of them jump off the bed and Fergie doesn't try jumping onto the bed. This ramp doesn't move. It is solid and actually a very nice looking. It was easy to put the rails on it and I like that I didn't have to assemble any other part of it!

I ordered this ramp after I threw out my back picking my aging Corgi up to put him on the bed.. It arrived quickly, set up was super easy, it’s sturdy, grippy, very secure with the railing. A few trails of Cheerios and he took to it in one day. It was one of the only ramps I had seen that was tall enough for my high bed. He seems to feel secure going up and down, the grip of the ramp is excellent, no scary slipping for him. This has truly saved my back, his aging body, and I still get my sweet companion up on the bed to sleep together.. Thank you for such a well thought out but simple design!! My dachshund had her first bow IVDD at age 4 I thought I was doing everything right with soft steps all around my apartment but one day she started shaking and then within hours both control of her back legs. With conservative care she is now doing great, but I decided to only have ramps now. I hesitated for a while because I have chemical sensitivity and was afraid I would react to the materials or the finish on the ramp.
