Yes. The side rails are removable and reversible, so they can go on either side. You can also use the ramp without rails, or only with some of the rails if you wish.
Yes. The ramp can work well along either side of the bed as well, especially if you have a sleighbed or large footboard that blocks access from the foot of the bed. It all depends on the orientation of your bedroom and what the best ramp placement would be.
While the ramp is quite stable on its own, due to its slim, ergonomic design and parallel placement at the foot of your bed, we recommend installing the anchor rope for extra safety and stability. It can be installed to virtually any bed setup, whether standard under-mattress, tied to a footboard, or even looped around a solid footboard or frame.
Definitely. Remove the side rails first, then the ramp folds flat (no disassembly required) to about 3.5" thick so it can slide under a bed or stand upright in a closet.
That’s what we’ve weight-tested this ramp to. It likely holds more (we intentionally understate the max), but once dogs reach around 50 lbs, they are typically larger-bodied and may do better on our Large Dog Ramp for Beds.
Nope, there are rubber pads/feet on the underside of the base that keep the ramp in place on tile, hardwood, or other floor types.
Yes, provided that the total weight of dogs using the ramp at once does not (dramatically) exceed 50lbs. Otherwise, if you have a large pack of small or medium dogs, many people opt for our Large Bed Ramp purely for the extra width, stability, and weight capacity.
Yes. We’re working on an attachment to address gaps; in the meantime we have simple solutions we can recommend to fill a gap. A gap does not prevent you or your dog from using this ramp.
Yes—use a gentle soap and a soft cloth. It cleans much more easily than carpet.

My little chi-terrier mix did something to tweak her back, and after rushing her to the vet, I learned she may have IVDD. Her vet cautioned against allowing her to use any stairs and recommended getting a ramp. After an exhaustive and exhausting search I settled upon Doggo Ramps. There are a million ramps available on the most famous online store and elsewhere, but the reviews made it clear that the ramps were not scientifically and mathematically sound. The incline was too high/extreme, the materials were inferior, or something else just didn't work. The many favorable reviews for Doggo Ramps made me look twice. The Small Dog ramp arrived quickly, well-packed, and in perfect condition. But I was worried about whether it would be a useless piece of furniture because I have THE most anxious and nervous furry girl in the world. She actually jumps and scurries if she sees her shadow sometimes. So I wondered if she would set paw on this contraption.
Thank goodness I watched the wonderful training video! Can we give a hand to the person at Doggo Ramps who thought this would be a good idea? Because it was a GENIUS idea. Following the training instructions to the letter and using my baby's favorite treat (I cut up one Greenie Anytime Bite per training session into treat sized pieces and make a trail of them on the ramp) to entice her up and down the ramp, We have one more incline step until she is ready to navigate to and from the ramp to the bed and up and down the ramp from there. I can't tell you how surprised and relieved I am that the training is working. The training video truly made all the difference!
I cannot recommend this Doggo Ramp enough, especially for small dog parents. One warning for those with hardwood floors: you might want to consider some kind of non-slip rug/pad to place underneath to protect your floors from possible damage.
