Yes. The side rails are removable and reversible, so they can go on either side. You can also use the ramp without rails, or only with some of the rails if you wish.
Yes. The ramp can work well along either side of the bed as well, especially if you have a sleighbed or large footboard that blocks access from the foot of the bed. It all depends on the orientation of your bedroom and what the best ramp placement would be.
While the ramp is quite stable on its own, due to its slim, ergonomic design and parallel placement at the foot of your bed, we recommend installing the anchor rope for extra safety and stability. It can be installed to virtually any bed setup, whether standard under-mattress, tied to a footboard, or even looped around a solid footboard or frame.
Definitely. Remove the side rails first, then the ramp folds flat (no disassembly required) to about 3.5" thick so it can slide under a bed or stand upright in a closet.
That’s what we’ve weight-tested this ramp to. It likely holds more (we intentionally understate the max), but once dogs reach around 50 lbs, they are typically larger-bodied and may do better on our Large Dog Ramp for Beds.
Nope, there are rubber pads/feet on the underside of the base that keep the ramp in place on tile, hardwood, or other floor types.
Yes, provided that the total weight of dogs using the ramp at once does not (dramatically) exceed 50lbs. Otherwise, if you have a large pack of small or medium dogs, many people opt for our Large Bed Ramp purely for the extra width, stability, and weight capacity.
Yes. We’re working on an attachment to address gaps; in the meantime we have simple solutions we can recommend to fill a gap. A gap does not prevent you or your dog from using this ramp.
Yes—use a gentle soap and a soft cloth. It cleans much more easily than carpet.

We ordered the dark wood small dog ramp for our eldery Yorkie when we purchased a new bed which was considerably higher than our old bed. The ramp is beautiful and very sturdy. It matches the dark wood of our bed quite well. The rails on the side help my my Yorkie feel more secure when he is on the ramp. We've had the ramp for about three weeks now, and my dog has gotten used to going down on the ramp, Hopefully, in the near future, he will also feel comfortable going up it as well.

My Corgi always used stairs to get on my bed and a ramp or stairs to enter the car. The bed ramp I had before Doggo looked just like Doggo but performed not at all alike. The carpet lost its gripping after nine weeks! Then I splurged and paid double for the Doggo ramp. What a great purchase! So sturdy; such nice wood. I no longer fear my dog is hurting her back with the effort of assailing the ramp. Doggo is 10 inches longer and that makes the incline so much less steep. Your training instructions were Very helpful! I have a stubborn small/mid-sized dog who has used 24" high steps to the bed all 11 years of her life. Those steps started to become a challenge so your ramp has been very helpful and I believe will prevent injury as she gets older. It was easy using your training tips! Have 2 recommendations. #1: put a ring or flatter, small piece of hardware on the side of the ramp to which the rope can be anchored. If anchored to the elevator leg, the wrong movement could dislodge the leg and cause a collapse of the entire ramp. #2: Older dogs (or dogs in general) don't have great depth perception it would appear. She could not seem to distinguish the coal black ramp from the floor (she was used to beige steps) and couldn't tell where the entrance to the ramp was or where to go up without me standing beside and showing her by patting it. I solved the problem by putting some thin strips of white masking tape at 10-12 inch intervals up the ramp (see photo). She immediately found the ramp and went up without my assistance. The stripes showed her the way, especially at night.

I needed a bed ramp for my 26lb. Pup that would reach my 39” tall bed……FOUND IT! Attractive design, well built with a skid-proof ramp cover and adjustable heights. Solved my problem quickly! Learning to go up was simple using a “trail” of treats. Going down was a bit more daunting but in less than a week….no issues. My back thanks you!!!

I have beagles with IVDD. They had a ramp to get on the bed but with advancing age, the incline was too steep. This ramp makes the "trip" to the bed so much easier.

Very happy with our small bed ramp. It replaced a dog stair setup after one of our weiners herniated a disc. Much better tool for on and off the bed. Sturdy, easily adjustable, quick assembly. Very prompt delivery. We did not need to train as our dogs are already ramp users elsewhere in our house.

It's exactly as advertised. Great quality as well. And my dog is very timid and shy, and she actually took to the ramp very very quickly with treat training and the instructions. Super easy to train her and it only took about 2 days to train her to use it. Now we just have to make it a habit for her.

This thing is amazing. Just like a piece of furniture. Our dogs are about 27 lbs each and there’s no way there tipping this thing over. Definitely no need for the anti tip rope. They love it.
